Does herbalife supplements harm you if you take them to long?
I’m taking the aloe, tea,and the shake the club makes. I am also taking the cell-u-loss, thermo-bond, and the forafiber. I have been taking the three drinks in the morning and evening. I took the 21 days already. I started all this in November and i had never felt this pain that i have in the left side behind the rib cage. I know that we have the liver and gallblatter there if i’m not mistaken. I have never felt that before. My pain is kind of sharp and when i sloush down it feels like my rib rubs on something in that area. I’m concerned only because i have never experienced this feeling before and the only thing i am taking is herbalife supplements, no other pills or drinks. Please help.
If you have a gut feeling the diet maybe to blame for your pain, stop it. You have to take into consideration that all these herbal products are not regulated by the FDA, and they can affect different people in different ways.
About 7 years ago, I was on Herbalife, and had serious side effects. My gut instinct was to stop taking the one supplement that was the cause of my problem. My herbalife sales rep strongly urged me not to, and try to convince me to continue my routine. I’m glad I didn’t listen.
Consult your doc on what the pain might be, and caused by what. If your doc says it has nothing to do with the Herbalife, then continue, but stop in the meantime. (make sure to bring all the herbalife products with you, so your doc can take a look at the contents).

Herbalife is a company that has been producing health products and supplements since 1980. Their inventory includes digestive aids, energy tea, facial exfoliator, and, of course, weight management solutions.
The first weight loss product by Herbalife is the Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix. The shakes are a meal replacement that contain up to 19 vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. Each shake includes fiber and nine grams of soy protein. There are seven different flavors available, which come in two different formulas: One which is to be mixed with nonfat milk or soy milk, and the other is an instant mix that only needs water. The product claims to support your metabolism, cellular production and cellular growth repair. Another product, which is made to control your appetite, is called Snack Defense. It encourages less absorption of carbohydrates, maintains blood sugar levels, and helps curb your sweet tooth. Additionally, it acts to control your hunger by reducing your hankering to snack between your meals. One tablet is to be taken twice a day. A bottle of 60 tablets costs $23.50.
Total Control, another pill supplement offered by Herbalife, aims to boost your metabolism and speed up your weight loss results. The pills also claim to increase energy. The ingredients include green tea, cacao, yerba mate, and 11 more herbs. A bottle of 90 pills costs $32.95.
Cell-U-Loss does not promise major weight loss or metabolism boosting, but it does claim to rid dimply, cellulite-ridden skin. The herbal blend improves your skin’s appearance by reducing the accumulation of excess fluid in the body. The pills are to be taken with meals three times a day, and it’s encouraged to use the pills along with Herbalife’s two other products: Body Buffing Scrub and Body Contouring Creme. A bottle of 90 pills will cost you $15.75
Thermo-Bond is another weight loss product made by Herbalife. It is intended to be taken along with a high-fiber, low-calorie diet, and claims to encourage additional weight loss. It is basically a support system for those already eating limited calories to shed pounds. Thero-Bond should be taken with food, up to six times daily. It is recommended to have a full glass of liquid each time you take the supplement. A bottle of 90 tablets costs $15.75.
HerbaLife offers several other weight management program, including protein bars, a soup mix, roasted nuts with a special type of salt, cell activator pills, herbal concentrate, and a personalized protein powder.
